Welcome to MoodBoo. This Privacy Policy explains how Fun Apps, Inc. ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use the MoodBoo mobile application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect:
- Display name
- Email address
- Profile photo (optional)
- Authentication provider (email/password or Google Sign-In)
2.2 Mood Data
When you use the App, we collect:
- Your selected mood (emoji and label)
- Custom moods you create
2.3 Connection Data
To enable partner features, we store:
- Your connected partner's user ID
- Invite tokens you create or use
- Partner nicknames you set (stored locally on your device only — never sent to our servers)
2.4 Device & Technical Data
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token — for push notifications
- App version and platform
- Session and authentication tokens (managed by Firebase)
- Advertising identifiers (used by AdMob for ad delivery — see Section 4)
2.5 What We Do NOT Collect
- Location data of any kind
- Contacts, call logs, or messages
- Microphone or camera data beyond your uploaded profile photo
- Browsing history or data from other apps
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and authenticate your account
- Display your mood to your connected partner in real time
- Send push notifications when your partner updates their mood
- Maintain your partner connection
- Serve advertisements (see Section 4)
- Improve app performance and fix issues
- Respond to support requests
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
4. Advertising
MoodBoo is a free app supported by advertising. We use Google AdMob as our primary ad network, with Unity Ads and AppLovin as mediation partners. These networks may display ads within the App.
4.1 Data Collected by Ad Networks
Ad networks may collect and use certain data to serve relevant advertisements, including:
- Advertising identifiers (Google Advertising ID / GAID)
- Device information (model, OS version, screen size)
- IP address and approximate location derived from IP
- App interaction and usage data
4.2 Ad Network Privacy Policies
Each ad network operates under its own privacy policy:
4.3 Opting Out
You may limit interest-based advertising by adjusting your device settings. On Android, go to Settings → Google → Ads and enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization". Note that opting out does not remove ads — you will still see ads, but they may be less relevant to you.
5. Data Sharing
5.1 With Your Connected Partner
When you connect with a partner in the App, the following information is visible to them only:
- Your display name
- Your profile photo
- Your current mood and mood updates
No other users can view your data. You may disconnect from your partner at any time via Settings.
5.2 With Third-Party Service Providers
We use the following services to operate the App:
- Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config) — data storage, authentication, notifications, and configuration
- Google AdMob, Unity Ads, AppLovin — advertising (see Section 4)
- Google Play Services — app distribution
These providers process data on our behalf under their own privacy policies.
5.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority.
6. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account through the App:
- Your profile and invite records are permanently deleted from Firestore
- Your profile photo is permanently deleted from Cloud Storage
- Your authentication account is permanently deleted
Partner nicknames are stored only on your device and are removed when you uninstall the App or clear app data.
Firebase infrastructure backups may retain data for a limited additional period as governed by Google's data retention policies.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures including:
- All data transmitted over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections
- Firebase Security Rules restricting data access to authenticated users only
- Profile photos stored in private Firebase Cloud Storage with per-user access controls
- Passwords are never stored by us — authentication is handled entirely by Firebase
8. Age Requirement
MoodBoo is intended for users aged 18 and older. By using the App, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request correction of inaccurate data (via the Edit Profile screen in the App)
- Delete your account and all associated data (via Settings → Delete Account)
- Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account
- Opt out of personalized advertising (see Section 4.3)

10. Push Notifications
We use push notifications to alert you when your partner updates their mood. You may disable notifications at any time through your device settings or within the App. Disabling notifications does not affect your ability to use the App.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
